I scrolled though ever so briefly... One suggestion might be to have your links open in a new window rather than the same window. The user will not loose your original page if they close the link. Check the PBS link (may have been my cpu or firewall). I do like the green script against a black background. :)

I'm not that tech savvy, we made our pages using NVU, which is a really dumbed down web page maker.

That's not bad at all! There is very little distraction from the actual content. I would say that the only thing that is questionable at all would be the color combination on the links page. The green on black is the best, because it's less distracting. Of course, if you sent me the project files I would probably destroy all but the text itself and start over, just because I have all these extreme ideas for graphics somewhere in my head just waiting to be unleashed on the word wide web. I guess I'll have to wait until I make my own website. :) No, seriously, there's nothing really wrong with NVU, and there's nothing wrong with your website. :)

What do you guys think about the web query? Do you have any good links to websites that would be useful?

And thanks for the feedback guys. :D

I just noticed that most of the resource links you have aren't working on my computer. Is that just my computer's problem, or is it happening to anyone else?

For other resources, maybe this:http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~mn200/music/composers.html

Or maybe Wiki:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Composers

Someone would probably find this one useful:http://www.essentialsofmusic.com/composer/composers.html

It's good to give students as much as they need, but be careful of overwhelming them with to many sources. You want to have a good selection, but you probably don't want to put sites with almost identical bios. It's good to have several resources when you are researching something, but it's also good to have sources that look at a composer's life from different angles of the big picture, if you know what I mean. Just look at those three links and see if you can use them. I hope that helps. :)

Actually, only one of the resource links works for me too, thanks for the heads up. I will try to fix that.

Thanks for the links too paul, they are all good, but we are actually discouraged from using wikipedia, because it is an ever changing website, and is not a credited site, so it is not good for research. The contributers can say what ever they want to.

Hey there. Great site. I remember building my website at St A's and it was hard to make it look good on a first attempt. I really needed a good week to sit there and do it right with nothing else to do, so well done for you.
I saw a couple spelling errors on your 7th grade project. As a teacher, I'm going to tell you that the your guidlines would have lost the interest of my 7th grade students as it feels very wordy. It is so busy and full of information that they just won't want to understand. The rubric is a great idea, and says a lot, and is needed from a teacher aspect on grading. But 75% of your 7th graders won't give a crap. They need you to tell them, and they want it in as few a words as possible.
Don't get me wrong, your work is very good. I used to put that much time in also, and the students don't need it. I give handouts on the information constantly because they keep losing the information. Its annoying! LOL!
Keep up the good work!

Hey Jay, thanks,
I know this and you know this stuff, but unfortunately, I have to follow my own professor's rubric to make the site (haha).

Which section is too wordy? and I forgot to spell check....grrrrrrr
